For goodness sake, ask!

This, roughly, from a short lecture/sermon I just attended:

If you ask a fellow human being for a favour, once or twice, he’ll give it to you; but more than that, he’ll get sick of/irritated by it.

However, if you ask (i.e. supplicate to) God for favours, He will love you even more and grant you the favours (provided, of course, that you’re asking for good things); in fact, contrariwise, if you don’t ask God enough, He will be displeased with you.

(The lecture was in Malay, so I hope I got the message translated right.)

It made me feel really good about supplicating to God. God’s Generosity is just overwhelming, isn’t it? I just cannot imagine His Greatness, but I know that He is the Greatest.

Ya Rahmaan, Ya Rahiim! Bless us this Ramadhan! Grant us the Night of Power!
