I subscribe to Brian Kim’s VIP Newsletter, and in an “MIT of the Day”, I got this:

Control the things you can Muhammad.

Let go of the things you can’t.

It strikes chords from deep within me, like a voice directly speaking to me.

Let go, man, let go.
Control only the things you can.

And it is precisely what I am going to do.

There comes a point in time for everyone where one has to decide one’s own course of actions. This is the time for me. I have made my decision.

I will speak little.
I will say nothing if possible.
I will return to being the man of few words.
I will seek again to perfect the art of simplicity.

This is who I really am.

This is my return.

There are many things
That I would like to know
And there are many places
That I wish to go
But everything’s depending
On the way the wind may blow
