High and dry

I swear, I am addicted to the first 27 seconds of this Radiohead piece.
It’s the best thing that you’ve ever had,
the best thing that you’ve ever, ever had.
It’s the best thing that you’ve ever had;
the best thing you have had has gone away.
Don’t leave me high, don’t leave me dry
Don’t leave me high, don’t leave [...]

Sounds that can move your soul

Here are some movie soundtracks that will simply transform your mood and give you goosebumps as you listen to them. The effect is usually multiplied if you have watched the movies. So sit back on a nice chair, close your eyes, and absorb. Good speakers or headphones are mandatory.

Think happy thoughts.

At this moment I am feeling rather out of sorts, like there are worms trying to come out of my body, or fart trying to come out of my ass, or whatever.
Dear me, think happy thoughts.

See the stone set in your eyes
See the thorn twist in your side
I wait for you
Sleight of hand and twist [...]

Mood:

This picture would do well as an approximate visualisation of how I am feeling right now:

What will grow crooked you can’t make straight…
This is your blind spot, blind spot / It should be obvious, but it’s not.

we think the same things at the same time
we just can’t do anything about it.
…I feel me slipping in [...]

I don’t want the whole world to see me

I do believe I’m experiencing the worst form of burnout since the last time I had long hair.
And I’d give up forever to touch you
Cause I know that you feel me somehow
You’re the closest to heaven that I’ll ever be
And I don’t want to go home right now
And all I can taste is this moment
And [...]

The truth

The truth is, I have just seen the truth in a manner so simple, so clear, and so compelling that it is impossible within reason to ignore.
Deep in my heart I’m concealing
Things that I’m longing to say
Scared to confess what I’m feeling
Frightened you’ll slip away

Currently listening to…

I’m loving Blue October’s “Into the Ocean”. It reminds me, by its quasi-Oriental feel, of Incubus’s “Aqueous Transmission”—perhaps why they both make aquatic references. The lyrics aren’t the most meaningful (I think) but they are surely un-lewd.
Introduced by my brother, Imran.
I want to swim away but don’t know how
Sometimes it feels just like I’m falling [...]

Ross Copperman!

Here’s “All She Wrote”:

Superb!

My Chemical Romance!

They’re playing I Don’t Love You so often on Virgin Radio that I’m beginning to love it! Sounds like a really sad story behind it. Or maybe I just like the way Gerard screams his stuff.

Watch the video.
Loving My Chemical Romance since Helena.
