Love is the reason I exist.

While songs are terrible teachers on the subject of love, they can be accurate descriptors of mood. Here I will do no more than to document my mood.
Journey into my mind. I’m betting that you’ve never heard any of these guys before.

Lonely, lonely

by Feist

Water water on the seeds
To my left they rose and leaf
To my right cross Seven Seas
Maybe maybe they’ll stay true
My seeds will cross and then take root
And leave you to an empty room
Lonely lonely that is you
Lonely lonely that is you
Paper paper obsolete
How will you reach out to me
I thought you’d ask me not [...]

Crestfallen without reason

I don’t know what exactly it is.
It feels like loneliness. Losing significance. A poignant silence.
It feels chilly, deep down to the bones.
It feels like these two songs.

Knives out!

(oooooh, did I just sound radical again? ahhhhh)

Knives Out has got to be one of my favourite songs by Radiohead. I just rediscovered when I got myself the Amnesiac album. Enjoy.

High and dry

I swear, I am addicted to the first 27 seconds of this Radiohead piece.
It’s the best thing that you’ve ever had,
the best thing that you’ve ever, ever had.
It’s the best thing that you’ve ever had;
the best thing you have had has gone away.
Don’t leave me high, don’t leave me dry
Don’t leave me high, don’t leave [...]

Currently listening to…

I’m loving Blue October’s “Into the Ocean”. It reminds me, by its quasi-Oriental feel, of Incubus’s “Aqueous Transmission”—perhaps why they both make aquatic references. The lyrics aren’t the most meaningful (I think) but they are surely un-lewd.
Introduced by my brother, Imran.
I want to swim away but don’t know how
Sometimes it feels just like I’m falling [...]

Ross Copperman!

Here’s “All She Wrote”:

Superb!

In rejection of lewdness

Every afternoon, there is a man in the street who sells candies, and good candies they are, which attract many customers. But you also know that when night falls, he sells another type of ‘candy’, which attracts a group of customers as well—he is a drug trafficker.
Question: If you had a child, would you [...]

Leaves!

Away from melancholic Besame Mucho, and back to my usual indie self.
Leaves has been podrocking my world! I first fell in love with “The Spell” which I heard over Last.fm; now I’ve *obtained* the whole Angela Test album and am loving “Shakma” too!
The Spell:

Shakma (Drunken Starlit Sky):

Leaves seems to me to be a mix [...]

Que tengo miedo a perderte, perderte después.

Bésame,
bésame mucho
como si fuera esta noche
la última vez
Bésame, bésame mucho
que tengo miedo a perderte
perderte después
I love you, and you only. And I’ll always guard myself well for you.
